Big Bend Lodge is paradise for your furry companions! All we ask is that you are responsible, pick up after your pet and ensure they’re not negatively impacting other guests.
We do charge a small pet fee ($15/nt). We also keep a few cabins pet-free in support of those who are allergic so please review the cabin details before booking.

We’re not kidding when we say we’re remote. We don’t have a restaurant, snack bar or store. There is a great small general store in town which is about 30mins round trip. But if you don’t want to make the extra trip into “town”, here’s a quick list of items to be sure to bring:
charcoal
food
the amount of beverages you think you'll drink - x 2 :)
sunscreen
bug repellant & calamine lotion
swim suits
water shoes
beach towels and toys
herbs and spices
coffee, tea, sugar and half & half
stuff for s'mores
popsicles and ice-cream
paper towels, napkins, foil, plastic wrap and baggies
musical instruments
lightweight coolers (our beach is close but not when you're carrying a massive ice chest)
ice
dog food if you're bringing a pooch
layers - it can get chilly at night

We are lucky to have 2 great beaches on the river, both very close to the cabins. The first beach is about 400 yards and the second roughly double that. There is a clear rock path that takes you to both.

BBL is your opportunity to disconnect and enjoy time to relax without the distractions of our modern day devices.
There is no internet access at the lodge. Also note that cell service can be very spotty depending on the provider. We do provide a land line for emergencies.

We are a small lodge, in a remote region, open seasonally. Our cancellation policy reflects our location and short season.
When making a reservation, the 1st night deposit for each room booked is non-refundable. We make an exception if the rooms are resold to another party, please see below.
If you cancel 30 days or less from your check in date, your credit card will be charged for all cabins booked for the entire stay. This charge is non-refundable, with the exception of the resold clause below.
RESOLD CLAUSE: If we resell all or part of your cancelled room/s nights we will refund an amount equal to the amount collected, less the $50 per room booking fee. It is the responsibility of the canceling party to email the lodge within 21 days after their canceled reservation date has passed to inquire if any room nights have been resold to collect any refund due. If the canceling party does not contact the lodge within this timeframe then they forfeit the claim to any refund
Note: Guests who are part of a buyout group:
When booking rooms as part of a buyout group, your entire stay is non-refundable from time of booking. As part of a buyout group, we will not be able to help you resell your rooms. However if you are able to find another family member or friend who can take over your room, the room will be transferred to them at no additional cost.

Cabins are all pre-paid online so no need to formally “check-out”.
We do ask that you leave your cabins clean when you leave. Please
Ensure dishes are accounted for
Wash any used dishes
Empty the refrigerator
Wipe down kitchen surfaces
Take out garbage and recycling
We really appreciate it. We are a small lodge with limited staff and your cooperation makes all the difference!
